Slippery Elm
The inner bark of Slippery Elm is well known for its soothing effect on the digestive system. It is particularly useful for sensitive or irritated mucous membranes in the digestive tract. Slippery Elm also has important antioxidant properties.
Aloe vera
Aloe vera is soothing to the lining of the stomach and intestines and supports smooth and natural digestion. It helps maintain healthy intestinal bacteria, assists in healthy functioning of the digestive tract and naturally supports the immune system. The aloe preparation is from the gentle inner gel (inner leaf) only.
Prebiotics and Probiotics
Inulin is a gentle soluble fibre which has prebiotic properties. Prebiotics help increase the number of friendly bacteria in the bowel which is important for a healthy functioning bowel. Inulin also assists healthy functioning of the immune system and provides gentle fibre to assist regular bowel movements.
