Nordic Naturals Children’s DHA is a delicious way for children to supplement their diet with the essential fatty acid DHA. DHA (docaxhexaeonic acid) is found in abundance in the cold waters of the deep sea fish salmon, mackerel, cod and sardines. DHA is an omega 3 fatty acid, components of fat or lipids that are beneficial to us and are called essential fatty acids (EFA’s). Supplementation of DHA is highly recommended for pregnant and nursing mothers, as well as all women who are trying to get pregnant
