Vitamin C has enjoyed the reputation of the key vitamin in the prevention of colds and associated winter infections. Far less universally recognised is this versatile vitamin’s effectiveness in dealing with a wide range of conditions from allergies to skin ulcers.

Vitamin C’s primary role involves the manufacture and maintenance of connective tissue, in bringing about the normal metabolism of cholesterol, and in the production of cortisol by the adrenal glands.
